What Can I Expect from my Relic?
-
Each creation is a one-of-one or made-to-order masterpiece. Due to the handcrafted nature of this process, subtle variances in design, size, and details should be considered characteristics that make each piece unique.
-
In traditional terms, a relic is an object with historical or sentimental value, often considered to be imbued with a certain power or significance. In the context of Esteban Joseph's creations, each piece is referred to as a "Relic" because it captures a moment in time, a fragment of imagination, and a piece of artisan craftsmanship. Like historical relics, these pieces are singular in their existence. They are not merely jewelry but storied artifacts of the present, designed to be cherished for generations.
-
Made-to-order fabrications are predesigned styles that may take up to 4 weeks to fabricate from the date of purchase. If a made-to-order design is currently in-stock, then your items may ship within 5 business days of purchase. See specific item descriptions for availability.
-
1-of-1 designs refer to a unique one-of-a-kind relic. This could be a brand new design or a unique iteration of a classic design. All designs labeled “1-of-1” are currently in stock and will be processed to ship within 5 business days of purchase.
-
All orders placed are FINAL SALE. Please ready the item descriptions carefully before placing an order. If you have questions or would like to request more information about any piece in particular, please e-mail create@estebanjose.ph.
How can I get my ring size?
-
For the most accurate sizing possible you will want to have your finger(s) sized by a jeweler’s ring sizing tool. This will offer the most accurate sizing as the tool you would be using is the same tool I would use to size you in the studio and sizing will be accurate down to the half size. You may purchase the same ring sizing tool that I use in the studio through this online link. Ring Sizer
-If you have access to a local jewelry store, it’s likely they will have a ring sizing tool to measure your finger(s).
-If you currently own a ring that already fits your finger you can measure the inside diameter of the ring. Make sure that you measure the diameter in millimeters.
Ring sizes can be tricky to get perfect without having your finger accurately measured by ring sizing tool because a single millimeter off may cause improper sizing. Many factors will also play a roll in accurate sizing such as time of day, temperature fluctuations, and even diet may affect your ring size. I use the U.S. numerical sizing system. Most ring sizes will range between sizes 1 - 15.
What Are the USB Specifications?
-
Traditional USB designs house a compact USB 3.1 hardware that is water-resistant, x-ray proof, magnetic proof, shock-proof, and temperature-proof with read speed of up to 400/mb per second.
256GB and 128GB options available.
These hardware capacities are common in most USB designs as they offer a compact hardware footprint that allows for flexibility and creativity of the over all design.
-
Pro-grade USB designs feature a SanDisk Extreme PRO USB 3.2 1TB Solid State drive. Designs that feature this hardware option are limited due to a large hardware footprint. Typically designs for this capacity hardware are built around a long rectangular frame require to accommodate the hardware within it. If you would like to see references of these design styles e-mail create@estebanjose.ph
-
It’s important to keep your USB stored away safely when not in use to protect it from the elements. Avoid coming into contact with any harsh chemicals. ONLY the hardware in traditional 128GB and 256GB models are water resistant meaning you have the ability to clean the inside contacts of the hardware. It’s common for dirt and lint can find their way into the hardware which can lead to read issues. DO NOT submerge or wet 1TB solid state pro-drive models as they are not water resistant.
If you visibly notice that the inside of your USB contacts look dirty you may clean your USB by using a soft toothbrush, mild dish soap, and warm water to very carefully clean out the contacts of the hardware. Make sure to thoroughly rinse and dry the inside of the hardware by blowing out and moisture before plugging in again. It’s best to allow time for it to air dry before use.
DO NOT jam any objects into the hardware opening as the contacts are very fragile and may bend or break with excessive force.
-

Some hardware models may be replaced for a small fee. You will be responsible for carefully packing, insuring, and shipping your USB to us at your own expense. Jewelry Care
-
It’s best to store your jewelry in an enclosed pouch, cloth, or in its original packaging. Avoid storing multiple items together or in open air environments as the surface of the metal may become marred or tarnished over time. Never store jewelry in a bathroom or where it may come in contact with hair products, perfumes/colognes, or makeup as these may tarnish the metal.
-
Exposure to chemicals can damage or discolor precious metals and may harm select gemstones. Chlorinated pools, salt water, house hold cleaners, hairsprays, lotions, colognes/perfumes, skincare products, cosmetics, and even body sweat can cause reactions with the surface of the metal that may cause the jewelry to tarnish. If your jewelry comes into contact with these things, clean it right away to avoid potential tarnishing.
-
Swimming Pools: The chlorine from swimming pools can damage stones and is particularly harmful to gold and silver. Chlorine can also cause the surface of the metal to tarnish and oxidize black.
Bathing: Jewelry should be removed when bathing as some products contain harsh ingredients that may react with the metal. Skin care product residue can build up on the surface of your jewelry causing the jewelry to appear dull and dirty.
Strenuous Activity: Remove your jewelry when doing strenuous activities such as working out, gardening, moving heavy objects, cleaning, sports, etc. Silver and gold are both very soft metals and are susceptible to scratches, dents, or stone breakage.
-
POLISHED SILVER
Over time, bright or polished sterling silver can develop a natural patina. You can always restore a shine to the surface of your jewelry by buffing gently with a polishing cloth that is specially formulated with polishing compound embedded in it. To prevent patina from forming on your bright or polished silver, do not leave your pieces exposed to air for long periods between use.
OXIDIZED SILVER
Oxidization is a superficial surface chemical treatment that does not penetrate the metal itself. With regular wear, blackened (oxidized) finishes may burnish and fade—but can always be reapplied. This is not a flaw but a natural response to regular wear. Oxidized jewelry can be buffed with a jewelry polishing cloth to enhance the natural contrast in the dark and polished areas of the metal if it becomes patinaed over time.
Do not clean your silver jewelry with store-bought silver cleaning products or ultrasonic cleaners as they will strip the blackened finish even in the recessed areas.
GOLD
Solid gold jewelry does not form patina, but sometimes with normal daily wear, it can become grimy and dull. To clarify and restore the shine to your gold jewelry at home, squeeze a thumbnail-size spot of dishwashing liquid into a bowl of boiling water with three capfuls of cloudy ammonia. Pop your jewelry into the bath and let soak for 10 minutes. Follow the soak by gently buffing your jewelry with a soft toothbrush. Rinse under clean water and pat dry.
-
To remove light dirt, fingerprints, or to just freshen up your jewelry use a small amount of dish soap in warm water with a soft-bristled toothbrush. Make sure to dry the piece completely before storing it. If you’d like you shine the surface of the metal you may use a jewelry polishing cloth. Please note that you should not use a polishing cloth on matte or black oxidized finishes as the metal will become polished. No commercial jewelry “cleaners” will be safe to use. Do not use ultrasonic cleaners to clean oxidized metal or pieces that have stones because ultrasonic vibrations may loosen or even crack stones.
